Unpack and Familiarize
Unbox all components and familiarize yourself with each part. Ensure you have a power source and a water supply.
Pro Tip: Set up your Bear Plunge tub in a covered or sheltered area for extended durability.
Pro Tip: Use the protective mat to safeguard the tub base and Chiller.
Inflate the Tub
Locate the air valve and double action pump. Attach the air hose to the "Inflate" side of the pump. Use the "Deflate" side to deflate the tub when needed
⚠️ Warning: Do not fill the tub with water until the setup is complete.
Inflate to 10 PSI
Inflate the tub to a maximum of 10 PSI. Ensure the air valve pin is in the outward (locked) position to prevent air escape.
⚠️ Warning: Over-inflation can damage the tub and will void the warranty.
Position the Tub
Select a debris-free area and place the tub on the protective mat. Leave space for the Chiller.
Pro Tip: Ensure the power outlet is nearby.
⚠️Warning: For outdoor setup, ensure the power outlet is weatherproof
Connect Tub Accessories
Attach accessories to the ball valves on the tub. Start with the double nipple connector, then the elbow connector, and finally the ball valve. Check for rubber gaskets to prevent leaks. Hand-tighten parts first, then use a wrench for the elbow connector if needed.
Set Up the Chiller
Gather the necessary accessories for the Chiller setup.
Insert the Filter
Open the filter housing and insert the 20 Micron Filter. Securely reconnect the housing.
Pro Tip: Fill the housing with water before attaching it to the Chiller to expedite air purging.
Connect the Mesh Filter
Attach the 100 Micron Mesh Filter to the Chiller's red outlet. Twist the metal collar to secure it upright.
⚠️Warning: Clean the mesh filter regularly to avoid malfunctions. Check every 5-10 uses.
Connect the Hoses
Connect the hoses to their respective ports on the tub and Chiller. Ensure each hose has a rubber gasket and match the colors correctly (Green to Green INLET - Red to Red OUTLET).
⚠️ Warning: Incorrect connections can cause malfunctions and void the warranty.
Fill the Tub
Fill the tub to the indicated fill line.
Important: Ensure the water valves are open before turning on the Chiller.
⚠️ Warning: Not opening the valves can cause permanent damage and void the warranty.
Power On the Chiller
Plugg the Chiller into a grounded power source and test the GFCI functionality. Flip the toggle switch, press “Reset,” and ensure the switch turns off. If the test fails, contact support.
Once verified, turn on the Chiller by flipping the power switch and pressing “Power On” on the display. The Chiller may take up to 3 minutes to purge air. Once completed, water will flow from the Water In fitting and begin cooling/heating. The flow rate should be at least 15 liters per minute. If the “FL” error appears, turn off the unit and repeat the hose connection step.
Adjust the Temperature
Press the "Temp. Toggle" key and use the +/- arrows to set your desired temperature. Press the “Temp. Toggle” key again to confirm.
Pro Tip: Start at 10°C for first-time use. The system will idle once it reaches the set temperature and resume cooling/heating when the water temperature changes by 1°C.
Pro Tip: Set the temperature 1°C lower or higher than desired to maintain consistent temperature with minimal idling.
